Job Description:

The Vice President of Sales oversees the North American Sales Team and provides a hands-on, structured and disciplined approach to generating new sales, cultivating new and existing client relationships, and driving the sales process to close in order to meet revenue and growth targets. This position oversees field sales, rep relationships, inside sales, customer service and sales operations. -Partners closely with Marketing Organization to align on programming and channel strategy that enables a strong customer experience in alignment with the business strategy. -Oversees the Canada business to ensure ongoing profitability and alignment to the UNA business strategy.Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates and executes short- and long-term sales strategies in alignment with the business strategy to achieve profitable growth.
  • Utilize knowledge of industry and customer needs to develop compelling value propositions that enable the business to successfully continue selling on service and quality vs. price
  • Develops team to become a leading-edge sales organization with the best-in-class sales practices, skills and behaviors. Coach sales teams on managing and closing complex deals
  • Manages key accounts and relationships including: top wholesale customers and distribution centers.
  • Identify, acquire and manage new large-scale customers
  • Build and manage relationships with large existing customers to grow sales of products and services
  • Successfully manage customer relationships to expand across their geographic footprint
  • Conduct market analysis to thoroughly assess current customer network and competitive environment;
  • Collaborate closely with the VP Marketing and VP NVD to ensure sales places are in alignment with the region's strategic objectives.
  • Lead reporting to senior leadership on sales results, forecasts, pipeline and performance against targets; key customer activity and relationships; sales projects; performance project management, pipeline updates and sales results
  • Manage department budget ensuring cost effective operations, while ensuring resources are appropriately allocated based on department priorities.
  • Drive adoption, utilization and optimization of our CRM system (Salesforce)Qualifications:
    • Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field with a minimum of 20 years industry experience. - MBA or other relevant Master's degree, preferred.
    • 20 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
    • Demonstrated experience in one or more areas of infrastructure development: Residential construction, water systems, HVAC, commercial buildings, underfloor heating, construction services, etc.
    • Experience selling into an established network in one or more of our target verticals (distribution, wholesales, retailers, rep agencies, builders, contractors, regulatory agencies), with knowledge of customer needs;
    • Success acquiring large new customers that drive immediate and long-term profitable revenue;
    • A demonstrated ability to compete and sell on value over price
    • Must have strong analytical, financial, strategic planning, creative problem solving and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Knowledge of Uponor's product line as well as those of competitors is preferred. -
    • A proven track record of driving a high performing sales organization is a must.
    • Demonstrated leadership in building and inspiring a strong, collaborative team.
    • A flexible, dynamic leader with a bias to take action and manage ambiguity proactively.
    • Demonstrated collaboration skills across broad stakeholder teams
    • Demonstrated leadership skills that engage and inspire large, diverse teams during times of change.
