Job Description:
The Manager, Safety Services is a site based position responsible
for overseeing the hospital's Environmental, Safety and Health
(ESH) programs to protect employees and the facility from harm, and
to work toward regulatory compliance. The Manager, Safety Services
provides
professional knowledge, expertise, and leadership for the
hospital's Environment of Care Program and applicable regulatory
requirements (e.g. The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA,EPA).
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Manager of
Safety Services should possess a Bachelor's degree in environmental
health, industrial hygiene, safety, engineering, or related
discipline supported by relevant work experience. They also should
have the ability to manage and direct a hospital environment of
care safety program under general supervision. Minimum five years
of related experience in industrial hygiene, occupational safety,
hazardous waste, and emergency management is preferred.
