Description
The Anesthesia/Perfusion Assistant assumes responsibility for and
under the general supervision of the Department Manager,
anesthesiologist and perfusionists. The Anesthesia/Perfusion
Assistant provides assistance and support to the perfusionists and
anesthesiologist as they perform their services which duties
include but not exclusive; include setting up of perfusion
circuits, monitoring and manipulating of designated cardiac assist
devices, the development, implementation and monitoring of QA
protocols for various types of laboratory equipment, documentation
and maintenance of perfusion records and procedures, monitoring and
control of inventory, and assuring that all equipment is clean and
functioning for each procedure.
