Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiation Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Radiation Therapist – Day Shift Location: Disney Cancer Center, 501 S Buena Vista St, Burbank, CA 91505 Shift: Day – 5x8-Hour (07:30 AM – 04:00 PM) Start Date: ASAP Facility Overview Join a dynamic team at the Disney Cancer Center, part of a 392-bed acute care teaching hospital located in Burbank, CA. This advanced cancer treatment center is equipped with state-of-the-art Elekta equipment and utilizes the MOSAIQ EMR system. The facility supports a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, offering both standard and specialized treatment procedures. Position Summary We are seeking a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to deliver high-quality radiation therapy to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. This position is suited for professionals passionate about providing compassionate care in a technologically advanced environment. Requirements - Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Radiation Therapist - Certifications Required: - ARRT (T) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - California State License (no pending licenses accepted) - Experience with: - Elekta equipment (Versa HD, Synergy, Infinity, Precise) - CBCT/kV/mV imaging - CT Simulation - Emergency Cases - Chart Check - DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) for left breast treatments - SRS/SBRT procedures - Preferred Skills: - Beam Modifying/Positioning - Block Cutting - Electron Fields - Respiratory Gating - Breath Hold Techniques - EMR Systems: - MOSAIQ (preferred) - Charting system experience preferred Work Environment - Setting: Adult Acute Care and Outpatient - Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics - Daily Census: Approximately 35 patients - Rooms: 4 Radiation Treatment Rooms - Oncology Cases Treated: - Leukemia, Lymphomas (Hodgkin’s & Non-Hodgkin’s), Kidney, Pancreatic, Testicular, and Breast Cancers Additional Details - First-time travelers accepted - Local candidates accepted - RTO: Must be submitted at the time of application - Parking: Free on-site parking available - Scrubs: Any color This opportunity is ideal for a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist looking to work in a supportive environment where cutting-edge technology meets patient-centered care.
