a variety of production and non-production products and services.
Purchases materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable
terms for the organization. Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and
negotiates pricing and terms for purchased goods or services. Bal
Seal Engineering delivers advanced sealing, connecting, and contact

customers solving complex challenges. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Responsible for purchasing and negotiating
materials, equipment and supplies in support of production needs
per the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) or requisition system
and recommends stock reorder points Evaluates vendor quotes and
services to determine most desirable supplier(s) Validates purchase
order confirmation Establishes and maintains effective
relationships with suppliers Resolves issues with rejections,
certifications, delivery commitments, invoice discrepancies and
other documentation problems Expedites delivery of critical items
as required Perform other related duties as assigned Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or four years relevant
experience with significant, progressive experience in purchasing
or materials control. Experience : Minimum of four years’
experience in procurement or supply chain in manufacturing
environment. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem
solving abilities. Expertise in ERP systems, contract negotiations,
strategic sourcing to manage costs. Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities: Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures in a
relevant supply chain, purchasing, materials, manufacturing
environment Strong computer literacy (MS Office) Ability to work in
a multi-tasking environment Physical Requirements: Employee is
occasionally required to stand While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is occasionally required to walk This position is
mainly sedentary; Therefore, required to sit Occasionally will need
to bend, stoop and squat Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10
pounds and occasionally lifting and/or move up to 25 pounds
Required to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and
products Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a key
board and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk
as well as occasionally visit employees throughout the building to
gather data and clarify information Work Environment: The work
environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment.
