Job Description:
The Director of Sales Operations has responsibility for
providing overall leadership, guidance, and development to the
Sales Operations teams: Sales Operations, Inside Sales, Customer
Support, and the Technical Platform Lead for Salesforce.com. Also
responsible for overseeing the development of the 24 Month Demand
Plan and participating in the Sales & Operations Planning cycle for
the business. The Director will effectively partner
cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and
Supply Chain to achieve company revenue and profitability goals,
and support the Vice President of Sales in executing business
strategy. Activities Support the Vice President of Sales in
developing and executing sales strategy, including implementing
technologies, systems, and processes to improve sales force
effectiveness. Collaborate effectively across functional areas to
optimize business processes and provide key business insights.
Facilitate the monthly Demand Review Meeting and participate in the
Sales & Operational Planning meeting cycle (SCR, DRM, SRM, MBR).
Oversees the monthly update of the 24 month demand plan for the
North American business. Understands the key assumptions, risks,
and opportunities underlying the Demand Plan and provides a range
of potential options to the business for execution. Provide
direction and guidance to the Manager, Sales Operations leading the
team in providing strategic business analysis and insights in
support of decision making, including development of the monthly
Demand Plan. Provide direction and guidance to the Manager, Inside
Sales leading the team in providing proactive account management to
distribution customers, managing the Special Pricing Agreement
(SPA), Volume Incentive Program (VIP) programs, new Distributor
onboarding and program management, and providing support to the
field sales regions. Provide direction and guidance to the Manager,
Customer Support leading the team performing order management /
processing, ensuring the best possible customer experience. Provide
direction and guidance to the Technical Platform Lead for
Salesforce.com, ensuring that the platform development priorities
and roadmap are aligned with business strategy. Seeks out
opportunities to contribute to the business success through
proactive involvement in team initiatives; performs other duties as
assigned. Qualifications -Bachelor's Degree required in business
management, finance, economics, marketing or a related field; MBA
preferred 5-7 years' experience successfully managing direct
reports 5 years plus experience in data reporting, modeling and
operational analysis or successful leadership of these functions. 5
years plus manufacturing industry experience preferred, preferably
in a sales or marketing role Strong project management skills as
demonstrated through the hands-on development and execution of
successful, comprehensive business plans. Previous experience with
the Sales & Operational Planning cycle, specifically with the
Demand Review component Ability to engage with business leaders,
translate their business needs into operational reporting, and
effectively present business recommendations Expert problem
solving, communication, time management and organizational
abilities Demonstrates good working knowledge of CRM systems,
preferably Salesforce.com Proven ability to work cross functionally
and collaborate with a wide range of roles / levels -Self-starter
who can develop solutions with minimal instruction and can identify
