Job Description Description The Semel Institute for Neuroscience
and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Nuclear
Medicine Technologist to join our innovative Brain Mapping Center.
The Brain Mapping Center advances the understanding of the human
brain by exploring the relationship between structure and function.
/n /n As our Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will play a
critical role in supporting cutting-edge research by performing and
managing sophisticated imaging procedures. You will work in a
collaborative, research-driven environment alongside leading
neuroscientists and clinicians. /n Key responsibilities:/n -
Perform PET and MRI imaging (structural and functional)/n - Prepare
research participants and scanning areas and ensure safety and
comfort/n - Assist with interventional procedures and administer
contrast materials under radiologist supervision/n - Conduct
routine quality control checks and troubleshot technical issues/n -
Administer contrast materials under radiologist supervision /n -
Maintain detailed research participants records and imaging
documentation/n - Coordinate research participant flow and provide
research participant education on procedures/n - Support
investigators with protocol development, scheduling, and data
management/n - Collaborate with researchers, staff, and research
participants to ensure compliance with safety and research
standards Salary range: $60.51/hr - $79.82/hr Qualifications
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiological Program OR Degree in a
related scientific field (required) California Nuclear Medicine
Technologist (CNMT) License (required) Nuclear Medicine
Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
(NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
(required) BCLS/CPR Certification from American Heart Association
or Red Cross - (preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience as a
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (preferred) Strong knowledge of
radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles (required)
Proficiency in imaging procedures, radiopharmaceutical preparation,
and quality control techniques (required) Ability to work safely in
a 3 Tesla MRI environment Proficiency in PET image acquisition and
protocol setup (preferred) Familiarity with radiopharmaceutical
(ex: F18, O15) (preferred) Experience with Siemens MRI scanners
(preferred) Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FDA, IRB,
Environmental Health & Safety)
